Polynucleotides

Also known by the brand names Nucleofill, PhilArt, Pluryal, Nucleadyn, Ameela, Plenhyage...

(and unfortunately, also known as the salmon sperm facial)

This is my favourite and one of the most popular in my clinic.

I have been using this technology for over 2 years now and I have perfected the technique to deliver optimal results that are natural and long lasting.

Polynucleotides are purified, microscopic fragments of salmon or trout DNA sourced from the fish spermatozoa (sperm).

These exceptional molecules are like keys that turn on your skin's collagen making process - significantly regenerating a specific type of collagen that is densely packed and provides structure to skin.

What this means for your skin:

  • Natural, long lasting results

  • Improved skin structure - firming, tightening

  • Increased hydration -dewy, youthful skin

  • Improved elasticity

  • Smoothing fine lines and refreshing crepey skin

  • An alternative to tear trough and cheek filler

  • Increased skin health - reducing acne

  • Reducing rosacea

  • Reducing hyperpigmentation

  • Smoothing scarring

  • Healing skin flaws

With this treatment you will experience an immediate firming boost, but the real results of 'Collagen Type One' production will develop over the next 3-6 months and then last up to 5 years.

Polynucleotide treatments are particularly successful in the areas of:

  • Renewing eye area skin, lines and dark circles

  • As an alternative to tear trough filler

  • Repairing and rejuvenating superficial scars and PIH

  • Rejuvenating uneven skin around the mouth and chin

  • As an alternative to filler on cheeks and nasolabial folds.

  • Regenerating scalp and follicle health and in turn increasing hair growth (also for eye brow growth)

  • Creping, dry neck skin

  • Abdominal skin rejuvenation

For optimal results, 2-3 treatments 14-28 days apart are recommended.

This treatment is suitable for all skin types

Minimal downtime, but always a chance of a bruise with mesotherapy

Topical anaesthetic is used

Treatment time 40 mins

£285 per 2ml treatment

Course of 3 taken within 3 months £795

Eye Area Polynucleotides

Anyone suffering from dark circles, crepey skin or hollow tear troughs knows how hard it is to find an effective treatment.

The periocular area is extremely delicate and tends to age quicker compared to the rest of the face. In addition to structural changes, it is continuously subjected to environmental pollution and facial expressions, resulting in periorbital fine lines and wrinkles.

An ideal treatment for those looking for discernible effects within a relatively short period of time are Polynucleotides.

What are eye area Polynucleotides ?

Polynucleotides are a new injectable “bio-revitalisation” treatment that has been specifically designed to improve skin microcirculation, provide deep moisture, firmness, and contour.

Precisely formulated for use in the delicate periocular area and helps address undereye puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles, and even volume loss. What’s not to love?

What do Polynucleotides  contain?

This treatment contains a highly purified Polynucleotide matrix which works to hydrate, reduce free radical damage and boost collagen production. Consequently, Polynucleotides activate bio-regeneration at the dermis (fibroblast stimulation) and deeper levels (adipose and bone tissue).

Please note that the unique properties of this treatment make it safe for all skin types.

How does Polynucleotides work?

In essence, Polynucleotides fosters deep renewal and biostimulation of the periorbital skin.

The high-density but low molecular weight structure of polynucleotides allows a fast penetration in tissues. As a result, it creates an effective stimulation of the periocular area.

It effectively revitalizes the under-eye area with visible results and it can be a good alternative to tear through fillers. While other existing filler products tend to simply fill a contracted or depressed space, the polynucleotide-containing products not only fill the space but also improve the regeneration environment of damaged tissue, resulting in more natural tissue regeneration.

What are the effects of Polynucleotides?

  • Lifting through the production of collagen type one and elastin

  • Antioxidant effect and elimination of free radicals

  • Moisturising effect

This is brought about by the unique effects Nucleofill has on the dermal-epidermal layer, the vascular level and the deeper tissues.

In conclusion, your under-eye area is visibly improved and in my opinion, this is one of the best treatments for the periocular area I have seen.

Benefits of Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides for the eye area are specifically designed to improve:

  • Puffiness / Bags under eyes

  • Discolouration

  • Periocular wrinkles

  • Regenerate the skin in the Periocular area

  • Bio-restructuration of deep tissues

  • Improvement of superficial wrinkles without the use of fillers

  • Pre and post-surgical treatment (such as Blepharoplasty, surgical eye lift, laser).

This treatment is suitable for all skin types and ages 18 and above.

For optimal results it is recommend to have 2-3 treatments with 2-6 weeks in between each session.

Results of Polynucleotides

A plumped effect can be seen immediately, but the real investment of regenerating collagen 'type 1' takes up to 150 days to mature and will then last for up to 5 years.

Like any treatment, results can vary from person to person.

Treatment time: 40 mins

Downtime: minimal - 1 day (note that there is always a chance of a bruise with mesotherapy)

Cost per treatment: £285

High recommended for optimal results - Course of 3 taken within 3 months £795
